This older residence and detached garage sit on a small lot surrounded by very large neighboring homes. A totally new landscape design was implemented to complement the Mediterranean style of the newly renovated home. A new brick front porch, steps and walkway echo the color of the tile roof. Landscape plantings were placed near the house, creating garden rooms outside the large window banks. The small backyard is divided by an open-air breezeway incorporating wooden access doors. A trellis to supports evergreen vines, visually screening the service/driveway area. The other side of the breezeway features a new swimming pool with a unique raised brick coping, pin jet fountains and a dark blue plaster finish. A row of tall magnolia trees runs along the east property line, screening the large neighboring home while providing enhanced privacy. A variety of coarse textured plants and perennials create a colorful and lush environment.
